Periploca Graeca

Bizarre, purple-brown, five-pointed flowers open with an indescribable musky perfume. Finally, on twining stems holding attractive long glossy leaves, sizeable, banana-like seed-pods expand before expelling their silky seeds. Turkey is the home of this rarely seen but intriguing hardy deciduous climber also known as the 'Silk Vine', which will weave and wind its way up any suitable support.
