Platycodon Grandiflorus Mixed

This mixed balloon flower strain produces compact, hardy perennials with curious inflated buds that swell like small balloons before bursting open into broad, star-shaped flowers. Seedlings may bloom in deep blue, violet, lavender, pink or white, often with darker veins that emphasise the five-pointed form. The neat blue-green foliage and upright stems suit borders, containers and large rock gardens, while the flowers are useful for cutting. Long lived but intolerant of root disturbance, the plants improve each year once established in deep, well-drained soil.
