Cupped-shaped yellow flowers, with orange markings at the base of each petal, open on low compact, cushions. This rare British native plant resides in high places on the Scottish mountains, as well as growing at lower levels in Scandinavia and right up to Svalbard in the Arctic Circle. Suitable for screes, rock gardens or dry slopes, its blooming time is from May to June.
