Romulea Seeds (19 varieties)
ViewRomulea linaresii is a miniature violet-flowered species from the eastern Aegean, Greece, Crete, Sicily, Tunisia and western Turkey. The entire flower is coloured violet to purple rather than showing the contrasting yellow-centred pattern of many relatives, and the compact plant usually stands only 5-10 cm high. Fine leaves and close-set blooms make it ideally suited to an alpine pot, where its botanical details can be examined. It follows a Mediterranean cycle of cool-season growth and complete summer dormancy.
