Romulea Pratensis

Romulea pratensis is an Eastern Cape grassland species producing delicate flowers in white, lilac or rose, often marked by one to three dark lines in the throat around a greenish-yellow cup. The outer petals may show brown-purple or green striping on their reverse, adding interest when the flowers close. Reaching about 12-25 cm, it is taller and more meadow-like than many miniature romuleas. Cool-season growth, full light and a dry summer rest allow this uncommon South African bulb to show its refined colouring.
