Romulea Seeds (19 varieties)
ViewRomulea ramiflora is a western Mediterranean corm with slender leaves and violet-lilac flowers traced by darker veins around a clear yellow throat. Green colouring on the backs of the petals becomes visible as the blooms close, while the contrasting membranous edge of the upper bract helps separate it from similar species. Native across parts of Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece, it is elegant in an alpine pot or sunny trough. In suitable climates it may self-seed readily, so ripening capsules should be monitored.
