Roscoea Seeds (11 varieties)
ViewRoscoea tibetica is one of the smallest hardy gingers, native to open mountain habitats in Tibet, Sichuan and Yunnan. Violet to purple, occasionally white, orchid-like flowers can appear on short stalks before or with the plant's one to three narrow leaves, giving the bloom an unexpectedly bold presence. The compact tuberous perennial is ideal for a trough, woodland edge or shaded rock garden, where its summer growth can receive steady moisture. Despite its exotic form, it is hardy in Britain and disappears safely underground for winter.
