Rudbeckia Hirta 'Cherry Brandy'

'Cherry Brandy' broke new ground among black-eyed Susans by bringing rich cherry-red, burgundy and wine-coloured petals to a species normally associated with yellow and orange. Each broad daisy surrounds a raised dark chocolate cone above bristly green foliage and strong branching stems. Flowering from early summer until autumn, it is excellent for cutting, containers and warm border schemes and is constantly visited by pollinating insects. Grown as an annual in Britain, it performs best in full sun with steady moisture and regular deadheading.
