Rudbeckia Triloba

Brown-eyed Susan is a branching North American biennial or short-lived perennial covered from midsummer into autumn with dozens of small golden daisies around dark brown cones. The lower leaves often have three distinct lobes, giving rise to the name Rudbeckia triloba. Its open, airy framework creates a broader cloud of flowers than the larger-bloomed black-eyed Susan and is invaluable for pollinators, cutting and naturalistic borders. Goldfinches and other birds use the seed, while self-sown seedlings keep the display returning year after year.
