Salvia Sclarea Vatican Pink

'Vatican Pink' is a richly coloured clary sage with large aromatic rosettes and towering branched spikes. Small white and pink flowers are framed by broad translucent bracts in rose, lilac and soft mauve, creating a luminous display that seems to change with the light. Flowering from late spring through summer, it attracts bees and butterflies and provides dramatic stems for fresh or dried arrangements. A biennial or short-lived perennial, it may die after bloom but readily renews itself from seed in sunny, drained borders and gravel gardens.
