Scabiosa Caucasica Perfection

The Perfecta Series of Caucasian scabious produces large, frilled pincushion flowers on long, wiry stems above divided grey-green foliage. Seedlings may bloom in lavender-blue, clear blue or white, each head edged by enlarged outer florets around a softly domed centre. Flowering from summer into early autumn, the plants are superb for cutting and are constantly visited by bees and butterflies. Compact clumps suit cottage and gravel gardens, thriving in full sun, neutral or chalky soil and sharp winter drainage.
