Semiaquilegia Ecalcarata Flore Pleno Mix

This double-flowered mixture of the spurless columbine, now accepted as Aquilegia ecalcarata, should produce compact woodland plants with finely divided foliage and nodding rosette-like blooms. Seedlings may flower in violet, purple, pink, wine or paler shades, with additional petals replacing the long spurs associated with ordinary aquilegias. The result is a delicate, layered flower above a modest plant suited to shaded rock gardens and woodland paths. Every seedling will be individual, offering excellent scope for selecting unusual double forms.
