Sergia Regelii

Sergia regelii is a little-known perennial member of the bellflower family native to the mountains of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Historical names include Phyteuma regelii, Asyneuma regelii and Podanthum regelii, reflecting changing views of its relationships. Cultivated material is scarce, so seedlings should be treated as a botanical study and documented carefully as their foliage, height and flowers develop. Its Central Asian mountain origin suggests a compact plant for a sunny scree or trough with lean soil, cold winters and dry, airy drainage.
