Silene Dioica Bronze Leaf

Bronze Leaf red campion combines the familiar bright pink, deeply notched flowers of Silene dioica with foliage flushed bronze, burgundy and dark purple. The coloured rosettes provide interest before the upright spring and summer flower stems appear, and the strongest tones develop in good light with steady moisture. Male and female blooms occur on separate plants, adding botanical interest to a grouped planting. Hardy, pollinator friendly and informal in character, it suits woodland edges and cottage borders and often renews itself gently from seed.
