Silene Uniflora Compacta

Silene uniflora 'Compacta' is a dwarf form of sea campion, creating a tight semi-evergreen mat of narrow, slightly fleshy grey-green leaves. Short branching stems carry white flowers with deeply divided petals and inflated green calyces, giving each bloom a delicate, airy outline above the cushion. The parent species is native to European and Atlantic coasts, where it survives salt, wind and thin soils. Tough, hardy and naturally neat, this selection is ideal for troughs, walls, gravel paths and sunny coastal gardens.
