Sinningia Eumorpha

Sinningia eumorpha is a tuberous Brazilian gesneriad with broad, velvety leaves and graceful tubular flowers in white, lavender or pale purple, often patterned with deeper purple and occasional yellow in the throat. The species is highly variable and has played an important role in breeding miniature Sinningia hybrids, crossing even with very small relatives. A rounded tuber stores energy through seasonal dryness and can resprout for many years. Compact and rewarding from seed, it thrives in bright filtered light, warmth, airy compost and a proper dormant rest.
