Sisyrinchium Idahoense Var. Bellum 'Rocky Point'

'Rocky Point' is a dwarf evergreen blue-eyed grass forming a neat tuft of narrow leaves only around 15 cm high. In early summer it produces a profusion of comparatively large violet-blue flowers, each centred by a vivid golden eye that makes the colour appear even stronger. Compact enough for troughs, rock gardens, containers and path edging, it provides the refinement of an alpine with the resilience of a North American wildflower. Seed-raised plants may vary slightly, offering scope to select especially floriferous, richly coloured forms.
