Sisyrinchium Palmifolium

A Plant World introduction. The "Bird-Of-Paradise" sisyrinchium can carry up to one hundred large golden stars on each magnificent head composed of repeatedly branching, broad stems, giving an endless display of large, yellow saucer-shaped flowers. Native to southern South America and originally introduced by Plant World Seeds to the UK market, it thrives where drainage is sharp and light is plentiful, its sunny colour cutting cleanly through cool greens and stone.
