Syringa Komarowii Subsp Reflexa

Nodding lilac is a large Chinese shrub with broad, rough-textured leaves and exceptionally long, narrow flower panicles that arch and hang from the branches. Purplish-pink buds open into fragrant blooms that are paler or almost white inside, creating a soft two-tone effect in late May and June. The pendulous clusters move gracefully rather than standing upright like common lilac trusses. Hardy and substantial, Syringa komarowii subsp. reflexa is an excellent specimen or informal screen for fertile, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun.
