Thalictrum Aquilegiifolium Nimbus White

Nimbus White is a compact meadow rue with upright dark green to bronze stems and finely divided blue-green foliage reminiscent of a columbine. In summer, branching panicles carry a cloud of small white flowers whose showy stamens create a soft, floating effect above the clump. Shorter than many tall thalictrums, it fits easily into mixed borders and shaded courtyard planting while retaining the genus's airy elegance. Moist, humus-rich partial shade keeps the foliage fresh, and the flowers are excellent for light, naturalistic cutting.
