Thalictrum minus subsp. thunbergii, historically known as var. hypoleucum, is an East Asian form of lesser meadow rue with finely divided foliage, often glaucous or pale beneath. Wiry branching stems rise above the leaves with loose nodding heads of tiny greenish-yellow to purple-tinted flowers, creating a subtle haze rather than a conventional floral spike. The plant combines exceptional hardiness with a light, naturalistic habit and is ideal among grasses, woodland-edge perennials and meadow planting where moisture remains dependable.
