Tiarella Grandiflora

Tiarella Grandiflora is the historic stock name for Tellima grandiflora, the fringe cups of western North America. Rounded, softly hairy and scalloped leaves form a neat clump, often remaining attractive through mild winters. In late spring, wiry upright racemes carry small greenish-cream bells whose deeply fringed petals gradually flush pink or red as they age. The subtle flowers reward close inspection and mingle beautifully with ferns and woodland foliage. Hardy, shade tolerant and easy, it can form generous colonies through self-sowing.
