Tomato Bloody Butcher

Tomato Bloody Butcher is a famously early heirloom that begins producing clusters of medium-small, deep red tomatoes ahead of many maincrop varieties. The juicy fruits have a full, old-fashioned tomato flavour and tender texture, making them especially welcome for the first salads, sandwiches and breakfasts of summer. Potato-leaved, indeterminate plants continue cropping as they grow and are well suited to cooler-season gardeners seeking reliable earliness, provided they receive support. (Cordon)
