Tomato Ruthje

Tomato Ruthje is a German biodynamic selection valued for bright red, slightly heart-shaped fruits with a rich, sweet and aromatic flavour. The medium-small tomatoes have a fine skin and pleasing balance of sweetness and acidity, making them excellent for salads, slicing and eating fresh. Tall, vigorous plants crop in clusters through summer and are best grown as supported cordons with side shoots removed for good airflow and fruit development. Grow under glass or in the warmest sunny, sheltered outdoor position, tying the main stem to a firm support where required. (Cordon)
