Henderson's triteleia is a rare cormous perennial of rocky foothill woodland in northern California and southern Oregon. Slender stems carry umbels of funnel-shaped flowers in yellow or creamy white, often washed blue as they age and marked by dark purple or brown midveins. Blue or white anthers add further detail within the open stars. Its limited range and preference for rocky or serpentine ground give it particular collector interest. In cultivation it suits a sunny gravel bed or alpine pot with spring moisture and a dry summer rest.
