Tulipa 'Lady Jane'

'Lady Jane' is an elegant lady tulip with slender glaucous leaves and narrow pointed flowers held on stems around 25 cm high. The outer petals are soft rose pink edged with white, while the interior opens pure white around a small yellow centre and contrasting black anthers. Closed buds appear richly pink, then transform into bright stars in sunshine. Compact, hardy and reliably perennial in well-drained soil, it is excellent for pots, gravel gardens and naturalising. Seed-raised plants may offer attractive variations on its refined two-tone colouring.
