Zephyranthes Concolor

The supplied name Zaephyranthes Concolor refers to Zephyranthes concolor, a Mexican rain lily of seasonally dry country. Narrow leaves are followed after moisture by solitary funnel-shaped flowers in ivory, white or very pale yellow, usually warmed by a yellow-green base. The restrained colouring and sudden response to rain give the plant a quiet, natural charm in a sunny pot or bulb frame. True Z. concolor should not be confused with the brighter lemon-flowered Z. pseudoconcolor. Warmth, light, summer moisture and a drier rest suit this uncommon species.
