We are one of the few seed companies in the world who still grow and produce many of our own seeds. We supply numerous seed companies, trade customers and nurseries worldwide. We believe all seeds are correctly named. As these are sometimes open pollinated, occasional variations may occur and we cannot be held responsible other than for replacement of seeds.

Very rarely mistakes can happen. In this event we always strive to be as understanding and generous as possible. However, we regret that our liability is limited to the replacement of the seeds or refund of the cost of the seeds at the customer's discretion.

Heirloom and Heritage Vegetable seeds are strictly for private use and not for commercial food production. By their very nature you may get the occasional variant plant.

Communication and Data Processing

Your personal information is confidential to us and will not be passed on to any third parties. We do not store or hold any payment related information - this is processed by our trusted payment providers, SagePay and PayPal. If we encounter issues processing your order, we may contact you using your provided email address. Customers ordering seed this year will automatically receive an annual 'special offers' email which is normally sent out mid-November. There is a simple facility to unsubscribe from receiving these emails if they no longer interest you.


For every item: Buy TWO packets of any one item and we will send you a THIRD packet of this item free.

Payment For Online Orders

You may order online using a credit/debit card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB and Amex) or via PayPal. All payments are taken using the currency Pound Sterling (£'s). We attempt to use accurate exchange rates for USD and Euro values, but please note that the actual exchange rate your bank charges you may vary from what we display.


When ordering online, postage and packing is £2.00 for destinations within the UK, £5.00 for destinations within Europe, and £7.00 for the rest of the world. There is no minimum order. We have tried to keep our shipping costs as low as possible, but due to this you will unfortunately be unable to track your order once it has been dispatched. If you require a more premium shipping method (e.g. one which has Track and Trace functionality), you are able to select this option during checkout, but there is an additional £10.00 charge for this service (Europe) or £15.00 (Rest of the World).

Overseas Customers

We are unable to provide Phytosanitary Certificates or other declarations. There may be problems importing seeds to your country due to this and other possible restrictions. Please will you check with your authorities regarding these restrictions BEFORE placing an order. We do not assume any responsibility if Customs or similar agencies confiscate seeds. However, any complete orders that may be returned to us in those cases will be refunded.

For US customers – We advise you apply for a Small Seed Permit (PPQ 587 - Permit to Import Plants and Plant Products) before ordering. This is a link to the US government’s page that might be helpful, as well as the mailing process and shipping label requirements:

Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other foreign country shipping limitations

Unfortunately we are unable to ship vegetable or mixed seeds to Australia, New Zealand or South Africa due to import restrictions. In addition, certain other seeds (generally just very bulky/heavy ones) cannot be shipped internationally. You will be warned during the checkout process of any seeds which we are unable to send to your delivery country. We are very sorry about this.

Countries we cannot ship to

Unfortunately we are unable to ship to the following countries: Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, Estonia, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Sweden.


When ordering is made online, your seeds will normally be sent within 7 working days to the delivery address you supply. As a result of the COVID-19 virus, some deliveries are currently being delayed. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times.

Refund policy and Replacements

In the unlikely event that our seeds fail to please you, we are happy to replace them with the same or similar seeds according to your requirements. Should you wish to return goods, please ensure your seeds are sent to us by recorded delivery with a detailed letter of explanation. You will then be given a full refund.

Out of stock items

In the unlikely event of one of your seed purchases going out of stock between you ordering and the order being prepared, or there being insufficient stock if you have ordered multiple packets, then we will make a refund of the missing items' cost.

Promotion Codes

Promotion codes are only valid for orders placed via the retail website. Promotional discounts only apply to the cost of goods and not to the price of shipping. To utilise a promotion, the code must be applied via the 'view cart' screen, before you check out. Only one promotion code can be used at a time. The validity of promotion codes can be withdrawn at any time.
