CABBAGE DURHAM EARLY
One of the earliest and most reliable spring cabbages, Durham Early produces dark green medium-sized conical heads with good texture and tasty flavour. The tender leaves can be picked early for spring greens.
Sow the seed thinly in mid July to August in a well prepared seed bed in shallow drills 1" deep. Keep well watered. Thin the seedlings as they appear to 3" apart. Transplant the seedlings when they are about 6" tall to the growing site 12" apart. Set the young plants 1" deeper than they were in the seed bed. Harvest from March to April.
