Geranium Maculatum Choc-Leaf
A stunning variation on the normal, already lovely green-leaved form of this hardy plant. Spreading stems, bearing attractive, chocolate-brown, shiny leaves, support a very long succession of large lilac-mauve flowers. Plants will be similar to the famous cultivar "Elizabeth Anne", but seedlings will also occasionally give darker and lighter leaf colours.
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
