Pea Kelvedon Wonder
In stock
Description
A popular old favourite variety of second early/maincrop pea, Kelvedon Wonder, produces pods with up to 8 tasty wrinkled peas inside. It is resistant to Pea Wilt and tolerant to Downy Mildew and can be succession sown from March to July but is versatile enough to be sown in November, in well-drained soil, for an early harvest.
Sowing Advice
Sow seeds from March to June, regularly every 3 weeks for continuous cropping. Sow seeds in well prepared soil in a sunny spot, in a wide drill 2 inches deep and spaced about 2 inches apart. Allow 30 inches between each row. Support with pea sticks or canes and twine. Pick often to extend the harvest. Can be sown in November for over-wintering in well-drained soil.
