Polemonium Caeruleum Himalayanum
In stock
Description
This extremely lovely plant opens attractive, bright blue flowers, which are produced from June to September on tall stems up to 1 metre. It flowers from June to September in forests, open slopes and damp places in the Himalayas, from Pakistan to West Nepal, at altitudes of 2400-3700 m. It does best in moist, well-drained soil in sun to semi-shade. Our plants were grown from seed collected by Chris Chadwell on his expedition to the Himalayas in 2013.
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
