Description

A wonderful climbing variety with lavender flowers and purple veined leaves. A prolific performer, it harvests over a long period in either glasshouse or out in the open, producing a heavy crop of beautiful deep purple, tender and string less pods which turn dark green on cooking. Climbing beans such as this variety should be supported much in the same way runner beans are. This family of beans is frost tender and cannot be sown until the weather has warmed up.

Sowing Advice

Sow outdoors after last frost and use a cane structure trellis or wigwam to support beans. Sow in rows 1-2 inches deep 1 seed per cane. Plant a few extra to fill in gaps. Keep well watered and feed weekly.
