Description

An unusual but useful alternative to Petunias. A spreading succulent plant, its bright, sky-blue trumpets with a creamy yellow throat appear in profusion all summer, studding the top of the bushy, creeping stems. Long blooming and low maintenance, it’s easy to grow from seed and is tolerant of drought. It’s perfect for using for ground cover, to edge paths and in hanging baskets. Prefers well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.

Sowing Advice

For best results, seeds are sown directly into the ground where required in the spring. Alternatively, sow in late winter/early spring in gentle warmth, 15-20 degrees C. Prick out into small 3 inch or 7 cm. pots and plant in final position when the plants are established.
