Verbena X Hybrida Blue
In stock
Description
Verbena × hybrida ‘Blue’ is a carpet of cool-toned blooms that seems to sparkle in the summer sun. Masses of small, five-petaled, sky-blue flowers—each with a tiny white eye—dress the slender stems above deep-green, slightly toothed foliage. As the season progresses, this vigorous, spreading plant weaves itself into borders, containers, and hanging baskets, creating a soft, cloud-like effect. Its continuous bloom habit invites butterflies and hummingbirds to linger, while the gently scented flowers bring a calm, cooling presence to any garden scheme.
Sowing Advice
Sow seeds on the soil surface or just 1 mm deep in a well-draining mix, keep evenly moist, and provide bright light at 20–22 °C (68–72 °F). Germination occurs in 10–14 days. Transplant seedlings when they have two true leaves, spacing them 25–30 cm apart.
