Tomato Rosella
In stock
Description
This is one of the heaviest-cropping varieties we have ever trialled, bearing heavy trusses of uncountable, unique, deepest pink cherry tomatoes with just a hint of purple. The pendulous bunches of fruits have strong flavours of other summer fruits, making it one of the varieties that staff here just could not resist, the plants nearest the walkways being suspiciously devoid of fruits.... High levels of sugar and not too much acidity make it a really strong tasting tomato, which thrives both indoors and in an outdoor sheltered position. Indeterminate (cordon)
Sowing Advice
Cover seeds only slightly. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Containers are held in warm conditions until sprouts appear, which may take 3-10 days. Move sprouting plantings immediately to bright light conditions, eg a window. Inadequate light is a frequent cause of failure of young seedlings. Around time of last frost, set seedlings into pots. Remove side-shoots and support the plant.
