Campanula Pyramidalis

This superb and beautiful species forms a large basal rosette of heart-shaped leaves, which erupts into an enormous spire of cool blue stemless starry cups for many weeks in mid and late summer. This is easily the tallest bellflower you can grow, each bloom can be 2.5cm (1in) or more across, and the effect of a plant in full flower is unforgettable, the whole making one enormous mass of bloom. In a sheltered spot it can arise to a breathtaking 8 to 9 feet or more.
