Juncus Effusus

Description

This robust, rapid-growing plant produces dense clumps of erect, blue-green, needle-like leaves topped with trusses of reddish flowers. Perfect around a pond or in a large container, it survives whether wet or dry.

Sowing Advice

Sow at any time and cover thinly with compost or grit in gentle heat or a warm bright spot outside. Grow on individual seedlings in three inch pots. Plant out in a well-prepared bed. Will grow large in a damp spot e.g. around a pond, or in very good soil.
