Campanula Trachelium Blue Ensign Mix
In stock
Description
We have produced a superb mixture of the two forms of this lovely flower, and you will get, in roughly equal proportions, sizeable, flared, ivory-white or deep blue bells, which open along many strong stems carrying rough, jagged-edged, nettle-like (but non-stinging!) leaves. This tough, long-lived, clump-forming, non-running plant will only spread by seed, and is one of the essential cottage-garden plants of olden days.
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
