Haloragis Erecta 'Wellington Bronze'
In stock
Description
This attractive dark foliage form of the rarely-seen New Zealand plant (Haloragis erecta) is a relative of the much larger gunnera plants. Bronzed leaves and spikes of many greenish-yellow flowers add colour to the border both before and after the main flush of garden flowers. This new form was obtained from Wellington Botanic gardens 30 years ago and named by us at Plant World.
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
