Datura Seeds

The Datura genus, commonly known as Devil’s Trumpet, is a striking member of the Solanaceae family. These herbaceous annuals or perennials are admired for their large, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of white, yellow, and purple, which bloom throughout the summer and release a sweet fragrance, particularly in the evening. Datura adds a dramatic and exotic touch to gardens and containers. Native to tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, Datura thrives in well-drained soils and sunny locations. These fast-growing plants are drought-tolerant once established and ideal for warm-climate gardens. Species such as Datura metel and Datura stramonium , commonly known as Jimsonweed, are particularly notable for their bold flowers and historical use in traditional medicine. The Datura genus combines beauty and intrigue, but caution is advised as all parts of the plant are highly toxic. Its exotic appeal makes Datura a unique choice for gardeners seeking bold, statement plants.
