Camassia Seeds (9 varieties)
ViewThis white form of great camas produces tall, stately racemes of creamy white, star-shaped flowers above clumps of broad, fresh green leaves in late spring. Native Camassia leichtlinii grows in the moist meadows and open grasslands of the Pacific Northwest, where its bulbs were historically an important food for many Indigenous peoples after careful harvesting and prolonged cooking. In gardens it naturalises beautifully through damp lawns and meadow planting, combining well with grasses and late daffodils. Accurate identification is essential because edible camas should never be confused with poisonous death camas.
