An incredible oddity. From a central rootstock emerge several compact creeping stems, producing exotic black-eyed pink flowers in spring. Prolific cleistogamous seed pods are then produced all summer long, the seeds curiously resembling ram's skulls complete with horns. (Hint: To extend the flowering period, plant in cool, damp, shady, spot.)
