Tomato Eight Ball
In stock
Description
As black as the proverbial snooker ball, these consistently medium-sized fruits ripen make impressive shining trusses. The strongly-flavoured, exceedingly healthy fruits, red inside, are packed with valuable xanthocyanins, and can stay on the vines right up to the first frosts of autumn, especially in a greenhouse, protected from bad weather and cracking by their perfect spheres of strong skin! Very rarely, the occasional one has the odd bizarre protuberance! We pick the last crop here in late October and even through November. New, and extremely attractive when sliced, when they reveal their juicy blood-red flesh. Cordon
Sowing Advice
Cover seeds only slightly. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Containers are held in warm conditions until sprouts appear, which may take 3-10 days. Move sprouting plantings immediately to bright light conditions, eg a window. Inadequate light is a frequent cause of failure of young seedlings. Around time of last frost, set seedlings into pots. Remove side-shoots and support the plant.
