Euphorbia Characias 'Dwarf Black Pearl'
In stock
Description
Grey-green whorls of foliage bear sprays of bright green flowers, each with a darkest maroon almost black eye. Bursting with sweet nectar these striking flowers, which open in spring and stay in place until the first frosts, are a magnet for bees and butterflies. One of the most attractive of all euphorbias, this dwarf form will thrive almost anywhere but excels in dry gardens. Seed very scarce.
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination. Some seedlings may occasionally vary.
