Centaurea Cyanus 'Double Blue'
In stock
Description
This gorgeous Cornflower has large, bright blue flowers and strong tall grey-green stems. It is very hardy and one of the easiest flowers to grow; the masses of colourful flower heads produced will be simply stunning. Brilliant as a cut flower, for drying, for confetti and perfect for bees and butterflies. Sow in spring for summer flowers then sow again in autumn. From an autumn sowing cornflowers produce the largest plants and masses of flowers.
Sowing Advice
For best results, seeds are sown directly into the ground where required in the spring. Alternatively, sow in late winter/early spring in gentle warmth, 15-20 degrees C. Prick out into small 3 inch or 7 cm. pots and plant in final position when the plants are established.
