Schizostylis Coccinea 'Deep Pink'
In stock
Description
Larger-than-normal, cup-shaped deep pink flowers open continuously over slowly running clumps of sword-shaped leaves. Plants grown from seeds from this famous, late-blooming, "Zeal Salmon" variety flower from summer right into the following winter and even all-winter-long in a sheltered spot and if it is mild. This must be one of the longest flowering plants in the garden!
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
