$2.48 / packet
In stock
Description
This heirloom melon, first grown in 1881 in the greenhouses of England's Blenheim Palace, have thin, finely-netted skins and thick, fragrant orange flesh. It is just the right size (up to 2lb) for one or two servings and is perfect for smoothies. It grows well in short season climates.
Sowing Advice
Sow seed on edge to prevent rotting 1.5cm (1/2"") deep in individual 9cm(3 1/2in) pots under glass at a constant day and night temperature of 21°C. Remove the weakest seedling after germination. If you're growing your melons outdoors, harden off (acclimatise to outdoor conditions) from late May to early June, once there is no danger of frost and when they have three or four leaves.
