Cosmos Sulphureus 'Mandarin'
In stock
Description
With vibrant, deep orange, double and semi double blooms sitting above neat compact mounds of deep green foliage, this Cosmos looks stunning when planted en-masse in borders or large containers. With a sunny location and moderate water it will produce an abundance of blooms all summer long. Makes an excellent cut flower with a vase life of 7 - 10 days. Cut the blooms in the early morning hours, and select stems with flowers that have just opened.
Sowing Advice
For best results, seeds are sown directly into the ground where required in the spring. Alternatively, sow in late winter/early spring in gentle warmth, 15-20 degrees C. Prick out into small 3 inch or 7 cm. pots and plant in final position when the plants are established.
