These gorgeous border or rock garden plants form a dense blazing carpet of colour with their brilliant flowers, and these are the very-rarely-offered single form of Portulaca with a wide range of brilliant shades, produced from mid summer to autumn. They can be very easily grown as annuals in a sunny, dry border or bank, or in a window-box or other container.
Sowing Advice
Seeds can be simply sown where they are to flower in spring. Water the seeds in if it is dry weather. Plants grow very quickly and actually prefer hot dry conditions to produce they stunning show.
